| Smart Women Have Worse Sex Lives | May 12, 2008 |

Educated women have more difficulty in achieving orgasm, scientists say. The German survey showed that women who completed their education were less satisfied with their sex life.
German lifestyle website surveyed over 2,000 women between the ages of 18 and 49.
In the study, 62 percent of educated women experienced difficulties achieving orgasm, while only 38 percent of women with lower educational qualification reported about these problems.
These findings coincide with the results of the Canadian study conducted among 1582 women aged between 14 and 44 with different levels of education. The study found that 55 percent of better-educated women had more difficulties to experience orgasm and were more likely to have lower sex drives. As much as 70 percent women with high-school grad were satisfied with their sex life.

The Sex in America study said that educated women were less likely to report about orgasm during sex, but said that sometimes they experienced the big O.
| Young Men are Afraid of Sexually Experienced Women | Apr 22, 2008 |

Young men feel insecure if they know that their female partner is more sexually experienced. But older experienced women are very attractive for men, the study says.
Researchers at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction at Indiana University found that young men often are threatened by the fact that their partner might be more experienced, thinking that they could compare them to other partners.
However, older men preferred women who knew what they want in bed, becoming more selective with the years.
Besides, the study revealed that men just like women find different things sexy, dispelling common myth that men like the same things when it comes to sex.
As much as 50 men who took part in the study, where divided into three groups, according to their age. The first group was young men aged between 18 and 24, the second were men aged between 24 and 45 and the third group was men aged 46 and over.
All the participants were reporting about different feelings and experiences concerning sexual desire and erection. They also had different opinions about relationships and preferences for women.
Erick Janssen, associate scientist at the Kinsey Institute, told Asian News International revealed how the study was conducted. He said that they used different methods to measure men's sexual response, including questionnaires and surveys related to their sexual behavior. Janssen added that when studying peculiarities of male sexual behavior it is less common to ask a man about his experience.
The study showed that men reported about different reaction on certain stimuli. While some men said that depression and a risk of being caught having sex were affecting their sexual desire in a bad way, others otherwise were aroused by such factors.
Also, the researchers explained that erections do not always indicate that a man is sexually aroused. Most men who took part in the study said that their erections occurred even when they were not sexually aroused or interested in a partner.
The results of the study show that not only differences between men and women exist, but the differences among men are quite common.
| Face Reveals Your Attitude toward Flings | Apr 14, 2008 |

Young person is often able to predict the other person's attitude towards short-term or long-term relationships.
The study, including 700 heterosexual participants conducted by a research team from Durham, St Andrews and Aberdeen Universities showed that young men and women are interested in different things when looking for a partner.
Participants were given the facial photographs of the opposite sex to rate their attractiveness and attitude to sex. Men and women who had taken part in the study were asked to choose a person who they felt was interested in short-term relationships, could have sex without love and what face was more attractive for long-term or short-term relationships. Then these answers were compared to the real attitudes and behaviors of the people shown in the photographs.
The study found that most participants were able to say if a person was open to short-term relationships. The results also showed that women who were said to be interested in short-term relationships were perceived as more attractive. Women participants perceived masculine looking men as more interested in short-term relationships. Previous studies also imply that women consider more masculine looking men more unfaithful and generally consider them bad parents.
In general, men prefer women who they thought were open to casual sex and rated them as more attractive, while women were more interested in men who they considered as being inclined to long-term relationships. Women also rated promiscuous-looking men as unattractive for durable and short-term relationships.
Dr Lynda Boothroyd, a leading author of the study explained that most people can judge sexual attitudes of others just by looking at their face and have strong preferences for different types of face.

| Want a Baby? Avoid Lubricants | Mar 20, 2008 |

Lubricants may considerably decrease sperm's ability to swim, scientists said. Almost a third and a half sexually active couples use personal lubricants. The study conducted by , Dr Ashok Agarwal from the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and her colleagues showed that the use of vaginal lubricants may deteriorate sperm quality.
During the study the researchers tested four commercially available lubricants (FemGlide, Pre-Seed, Replens, and Astroglide) to find their effect on sperm motility and sperm chromatin integrity - the complex of genetic material that makes up chromosomes. Semen samples of 12 men were taken during the tests. As a result, sperm motility in three lubricants Replens, Astroglide, and FemGlide decreased in 30 minutes. The sperm chromatin integrity also lowered after the sperm was exposed to FemGlide and K-Y Jelly.
Scientists concluded that even water-based lubricants that are spermicides-free may affect sperm quality, decreasing its motility and chromatin integrity. One of the lubricants called Pre~Seed had less damage to sperm motility and chromatin integrity, which is explained by the fact that it had more physiologic pHand isotonic formula.
A lot of women use personal lubricants during sexual intercourse to eliminate vaginal dryness - a common problem, which makes sexual contacts uncomfortable. Nowadays, women can use lubricants to make sexual intercourse smoother and more pleasant.
Most lubricants are water-based, which make them compatible with condoms and sex toys. However, women who are trying to conceive should avoid using lubricants as their chances for conception can be quite low due to the fact that lubricants make sperm less motile.
| High-Heeled Shoes Boost Woman's Libido | Feb 04, 2008 |

Italian researchers proved that wearing high-heeled shoes can considerably improve women's sex lives and increase their chances of experiencing orgasm.
While most men are easily attracted to a woman walking in sexy stilettos, women may actually feel sexier when they wear high-heeled shoes.
Dr. Maria Cherruto, an Italian urologist at the University of Verona explained that moderately high-heeled shoes tone pelvic muscles, that play an important role in women's ability to experience orgasm.
Earlier health scientists blamed high-heeled shoes on numerous health problems, including joint pain, arthritis and back problems, but new finding can bring some positive news. Dr. Cherruto, who is also fond of high-heeled shoes discovered that heels have a beneficial effect on woman's pelvic muscles, involuntarily exercising them.
The research involved 66 women under the age of 50. Dr. Cherruto measured the activity of the pelvic muscles depending on the feet angle to the ground and found that women wearing two-inches heels had 15 percent less electrical activity in heir pelvic muscles.
This indicates that their PC muscles were more relaxed, having a better tone and ability to contract. Toned pelvic muscles contribute to better sexual arousal and more satisfaction for women. Women wearing high-heeled shoes exercise their sexy muscles without even noticing it.
Pelvic exercising
Pelvic muscles were long known to have benefits on sex life. The stronger PC muscles you have, the more likely it is for you to experience orgasm. Regular exercising of the pelvic muscles improve blood circulation resulting in better tone, strength and endurance - all that is necessary for better sex life.
Women who had given birth to a child or being overweight may feel that their PC muscles weakened. By learning to contract these muscles, a woman can have a better control over her ability to orgasm and have more satisfying sexual experience.
It is recommended to exercise your PC muscles at least five times a day, squeezing and releasing them in a series of contractions.

| Persistent Sexual Arousal is a Real Trouble for Women | Nov 19, 2007 |

The new study involving women who suffer from PSAS (persistent sexual arousal syndrome) revealed that this condition leads to a number of psychological problems, such as depression, anxiety and panic.
Quite recently discovered condition called Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS) or Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD) results in spontaneous sexual arousal that appears as a reaction to different even minor stimuli, such as vibrations from the cell phone or different sounds. Very often women do not experience relief after one or several orgasms. Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome was reported by women of all ages, aged from teenage to menopause.
Many women who have this syndrome experience intense physical arousal for prolonged period of time, often making it impossible for them to concentrate or perform routine tasks.
In spite of the fact, that there are no exact figures to name the percentage of women suffering from PSAS, it is believed that the condition is rarely met. Although the recent data proves, that number of women who participate in web-based surveys to find the individuals having symptoms of persistent sexual arousal may count up to several hundreds. The information collected from many health-related sites as well as some studies suggests that psychological, medical and pharmacological factors play significant role for this condition.
For many women, this condition is accompanied by serious distress, frustration, guilt and anxiety, while the cause and the treatment remains unknown. Sandra Leiblum, Ph.D., one of the leading researchers and former President of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health said that this conditions needs "serious research attention".

The first study on this topic will be published in a recent issue of The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
| Women Send Sex Signals Through their Walk | Nov 09, 2007 |

Seductive walk is not linked to woman's ovulation as it was previously suggested by recent studies. Otherwise, scientists found that sexy sway of woman's hips doesn't mean that she is in her most fertile period.
Scientists at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada conducted a study, where women had to wear suits with light reflectors attached to their joints and limbs to find out the peculiarities of their walk. Along with the experiment that was filmed, volunteers had to take saliva test to determine their hormone level.
It was revealed that women who were ovulating at the time of the experiment had smaller hip movements and tried to keep their knees closer together.
When scientists asked forty male participants to rate each of the shown walks for the most sexiest, men pointed at women who were not in their fertile period of the cycle.
This may somehow contradict the findings of the earlier study where it was found that men are more responsive to women's sex signal when women are at their ovulation period. In a study about one months ago it was also revealed that strippers have more tips when they are ovulating.
Canadian researchers say that present study does not oppose the previous researches. They explain that women at their fertile period send sex signals when they come closer to a potential mate, rather than when they are at a distance. Women send sex signals through pheromones and face expressions only to a mate she sees as an appropriate mate during her fertile period.
Otherwise, men respond to woman's attractiveness from the distance and therefore her gait becomes a signal for other men, who can be less appealing to her.
Thus, walking less sexy during ovulation she is trying to protect herself from unsuitable partner, who might take advantage of her.

| Don't forget about sex while urging for a baby | Sep 11, 2007 |

Many couples have a their sex life ruined by the time they look for in vitro fertilization treatment.
Specialists urge couples who go for IVF not to give up their sex life just because they conceive in vitro. This happens due to the fact that many partners who want a baby "try too hard" to conceive thus turning sex into a task. Experts say that some couples become so focused on conception that when they actually address fertility experts they already do not have sex.
Dr Hayley Matic, a specialist at Melbourne IVF emphasizes the importance of healthy sex life for every couple. International studies already showed the benefits of sexual well-being, including those physical and emotional.
Initially, both partners trying for a baby may become very enthusiastic about conception but with the time as they see no results their intimate life fades away. At some point, their decision to go for IVF, where they do not need to have sex, contributes to the end of their sex life.
In many cases, couples cannot conceive simply because they do not have sex. Specialists warn that intimate problems are rarely discussed when couples try to solve fertility problems and couples should come in terms with their sex life .
When sex is no longer a pleasure but more like a scheduled task with an objective of making a baby, men and women soon forget about pleasure side. In some situations a burden of conception puts an end to any sexual activity.
Fertility experts plan to discuss the benefits of sexual well-being and remind all couples that sex is really not about having a baby only.

| Trojan condoms new ad turned down by Fox and CBS | Jun 22, 2007 |

Beautiful women are sitting in a bar full of pigs, when one of the pigs goes to a man's room taking a condom from vending machine and turns into a handsome guy who is now welcome by a blond girl. This is a new commercial promoted by Trojan condoms that is headed under slogan "Evolve. Use a condom every time."
However, Fox and CBS both rejected the ad as inappropriate. The designers of the "evolve" ad said they intended to create a commercial that would highlight the health and safety problems. Though the ad looks entertaining, it was not accepted by major networks. Fox said the ad should "stress health-related uses rather than the prevention of pregnancy", while CBS think that the campaign is inappropriate for "network even with late-night-only restrictions."
Previous Trojan's ads were accepted by both networks as that time the campaign was aimed at preventing HIV. Many networks welcome an ad that would display the sexual disease prevention rather that pregnancy prevention.
Now the ad is planned to be on other networks including ABC,NBC, MTV, Comedy Central and Adult Swim and many print advertisements will be featured in magazines, like Cosmopolitan and Glamour and web sites.
Trojan company is working since 1927 and has the 75 percent share of the condom market in comparison to Durex 15 percent. Jim Daniels, vice president for marketing said that US should increase the use of condoms as only one out of four sexual acts was performed with a condom, which is too little.
In 2006 Trojan conducted a research that involved the study of 100 colleges and universities published in Sexual Health Report Card where their brought in the issues of sexually transmitted diseases, sexual assault and condom availability. The company is now more and more aimed at women customers as potential buyers and additional features to make condoms more appealing encouraging condom purchase. As many people are reluctant to use the condom, the erotic accessory to this product may attract potential customers.

It was discovered that these very areas are removed during the circumcision and circumcised men said that their most sensitive penile part was a scar that left after circumcision procedure.
Circumcision is a procedure that is commonly spread in many countries. The surgery involves the removal of the foreskin of the penis and in many cases this medical procedure is done soon after birth. In United States more than half of all male infants are being circumcised.
Many studies have shown that surgery gives some protection against STDs and reduces the chances of getting some other infections. The latest research revealed that circumcision can reduce the risk of HIV infection.
However, not all scientists agree that circumcision is as effective as it is claimed by other researchers. Many other safety measures like use of condom or careful choice of the sex partner are known to protect sexual health better than circumcision.
As this study showed that circumcision leads to decreased sensitivity, the researchers question previous findings where there was said about little loss of sensitivity after circumcision. They suppose that results do not coincide because in previous studies scientists based their findings on reports of the men who chose to undergo circumcision to solve their health problems.
