The chain of sex shops Beate Ushe claimed they will pay 50,000 Euro to Michael Ballack and Oliver Kahn German football celebrities for unauthorized use of their names for vibrators, sold in their sex shops.
A range of vibrators having “Michael B.” and “Olli K.” names was marketed before the World Cup 2006 and for those who still doubt, the portraits of the Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn were featuring on the sex toys products.
In spite of the fact that there were only first names of the football stars, it was absolutely clear that sex toys manufacturers referred to well-known football players.
Kahn's and Ballack's lawyers sued in court for the attack on privacy and won the case. Manufacturers withdrew the vibrators featuring football players names and images apologizing for the incident. They promised to pay 50, 000 Euro to each football player for moral damage.
It is known that vibrators were red-colored, are around 6,3 inches long and were sold for 69,95 Euro in Beate Uhse sex shops. However, vibrators are no longer sold, some lucky women who managed to purchase rare football star vibrators have a possibility to enjoy exquisite sex toys.
