Men Should Have Regular Sex to Improve Fertility |

Sex every day is what doctor prescribes for men who want to get their partner pregnant, scientists say.
Researchers from Sydney University dispelled the common belief that partners should abstain from sex to increase number of sperm for conception. On the American Society for Reproductive Medicine conference experts reported that daily sex is known to have benefits for improving the quality of sperm which is very important for increasing the chances of conception.
During a study, 42 men were examined on their sperm quality being asked to ejaculate every day for a week and after three day abstinence to compare sperm samples. It was found that 37 men out of 42 had less sperm damage in their sperm samples taken daily if compared to those samples taken after three days abstinence.
The common myth among couples is not to have sex for some day to boost the number of sperm to have more chances of getting pregnant for their partners.
Dr. Allan Pacey, an expert from the British Fertility Society said that this opinion, though widely spread, is not quite correct and there should be some difference to draw between the quality and quantity of sperm.
In fact, reducing the number of ejaculations will lead to DNA damage and whereas men can abstain for several days when trying to conceive, for those men who have higher risks of DNA damage, it is highly recommended to have sex on a daily basis.
