Sex therapists say that number of men having sex addiction is increasing due to the popularity of internet pornography. As much as 80 percent of 43 sex therapists in UK claimed that sex addiction and compulsive sexual behavior becomes a serious problem nowadays.
Specialists say that sex addiction is mostly related to the use of internet pornography. In some cases, this condition causes problems in the relationships, and at work.
The results of the survey showed that sex addiction becomes very common with the appearance of internet pornography.
Sexually addicted people often engage in casual sex, risk-taking sex and meet with prostitutes. The use of internet pornography becomes increasingly popular due to the easy access, anonymity and safety contributing to the increase in the number of sex addicts.
Christine Lacy, a sex therapist at counselling service Relate said that sex addiction is affecting person's relationships, making them tense and leading to problems within family. Many sex addicts have difficulty controlling their behavior, spending hours using internet pornography.
The availability of adult images on the internet and cyber sex, many teenagers may not be able to have normal sexual relationships, experts say.
This is yet another reason that masturbation should be promoted. In fact, some countries are now openly promoting it. It is safe, clean, healthy for the prostate and other organs, and relieves the urge to take as many risks.
