A man who was constantly denied of sex by his wife got the divorce after 13-year-old marriage.
The refusal to have sex by either of spouses is enough to ask for divorce in India. The first petition for divorce on February 1997 of Ajay Kumar, who went to the law where he claimed of his wife's cruelty was nixed. This week, Justice S Murlindhar said that lack of sexual relationships was the main reason for the marriage to fail. Furthermore, the husband felt under mental stress due to the above mentioned reasons. Their separation as a couple in 1996 made it impossible to have normal marital relationships.
Ajay Kumar was asked to pay his wife alimony during two months period. He applied to the Delhi High Court court asking for divorce. In the petition Kumar claimed that he had no normal marriage as his wife constantly refused to have sexual relationships with him since their wedding in June 1994.
The man also said that his wife acted aggressively in bed and she underwent a medical treatment however ending with no result.
Ajay Kumar said he was threatened by his in-laws after he tried to discuss the issue. They didn't let him see her and took to their house in 1996. Finally, Ajay Kumar was got divorced after the court decided that sexless relationships has no chance for normal marriage.
