A sheep failed to testify on sex case |
Aug 06, 2007 |

A man who had sex with a sheep convicted not guilty as animal could not stand in the court to testify.
A man from Haaksbergen, the Netherlands and the sheep were caught by a neighbor seeing them having sex. The case was however closed and a man walked free as it was not considered an abuse.
Zoophilia is legal in the Netherlands and unless it is proved that animal suffered emotional stress or was against the sexual act, there would be no objections against the act.
In this case a man having sex with the sheep was set free as the sheep kept silence on her "emotional silence" and basically couldn't prove it somehow.
For a long period zoophilia, also referred to as bestiality or zoosexuality was considered to be a pathology, though many psychologist changed their view on zoophilia as kind of sexual orientation. And though you will find supporters of zoophilies, many people are against human-animal sexual contacts as such acts are seen as unethical.
The legal aspect of zoophilia is also widely discussed and though Netherlands and such countries as Belgium, Finland, Mexico, Norway and etc allow zoophilia there is a vast subject on where the borderline should be marked and whether to consider sexual contacts with animals an abuse.
